Dr Shoen graduated with honors from The Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1985. He then accepted a residency at Albert Einstein in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery including the Plastic Surgery sub-specialty of Hand Surgery. To consolidate his Hand Surgery training Dr. Shoen completed a fellowship year at Harvard Medical School under the direction of Dr. Joseph Upton, a nationally renowned hand and microsurgeon.
